2024년 가을에 형성된 어떤 관계는
존재하고 있음에도 불구하고 기록될 가치가 있는 것으로 간주되지 않는다.
법이나 제도, 사회적 언어 안에 남겨지지 않는 삶은
쉽게 사라진다고 생각한다.

말할 언어가 없고,
호명될 제도가 없으며,
보호할 장치가 없는 이 형태가
실제로 이어지고 있었다는 사실에 관해
이야기하고 싶어졌다.

사건이 지속되는 동안, 이 시간에 참여하는 행위로 카메라를 들고
지나간 시간을 지우지 않기 위해 이미지를 생성하고 탐구한다.
그것이 내가 관계를 소유하려는 방식인지도 모르겠다.

다만 이미 존재하지만 기록되지 않는 시간들을
사적인 기록의 이미지로 남긴다.
그저 존재했던 상태를 지속시키고 싶은 마음이다.

A relationship formed in the fall of 2024 exists,
even though it is not considered something worth recording.
I feel that lives which are not held within law, institutions,
or shared social language tend to disappear easily.

I wanted to speak about the fact that this form—
with no words to name it,
no system to recognize it,
and no structure to protect it—
was nonetheless continuing.

As the situation unfolded,
I carried a camera as a way of being present in that time.
To keep what had passed from fading away,
I began to make and look closely at images.
I am not sure whether this was a way of claiming the relationship.

Instead, I leave behind images as private records
of moments that existed but were never documented.
It is simply a wish to let what once existed
remain, a little longer.
